i was a teacher at the school and still have my millenium cup sitting on my unit along side the ornaments and things given to me when I left to go and teach in Leeds. It is good to see old faces on the Whos who board especially Mrs Dunlevey who was my fantastic teaching assisstant when I was the Year 4 teacher, we had so many laughs...... Also good to see posts from Nicola Gallagher and chris Maddox who were once... a long time ago in my class. Keepup the good work St Johns you will always be in my heart God Bless you all x x x

I attended the school from 1974 to 1981 at the site which is now Carousel Day Nursery, and the church hall was in Picton Road. What happy memories I have of Mr Moore, Mr Brookes, Mr Austin, Mrs Bentley, Mrs Johnson, Mrs Stables, Mrs Gibbard. I enjoyed going to Broxford Hall, Derbyshire. Sport day at Chaffers. Brownines, Guides and Sunday school. Brilliant!

Very strange. What unction caused me to look up my old school on the web. Top of the Guestbook messages is Willy Struth, the older Brother of my best mate there, Andy Struth. I do believe that are very early years at school are formative. I actually have only fond memories of Saint Johns (I've forgotten all the times Willy used to beat me up when I went to Andy's :-)). Maybe someone could have the get up and go to maybe organise some form of reunion. Maybe I'm so out the loop that this actually happens regularly. Anyway, Mr Brooks, Mrs Leopard, Mrs White, Mr Moor, Reverend Bunting, plus others I have temporarily forgotten, I salute you :-)
